Utah Gardens

I work for the ICS (Information and Communication Systems) Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's a great place to work, obviously. I get to sit on my duff all day long and stare at the computer. One might imagine that this kind of activity doesn't provide the least bit of satisfaction. Interesting, then, how much I enjoy it.

But, sometimes we get out of the office. Recently, we went and did a day-long service project for Utah Gardens. It's a program where teenagers care for community vegetable gardens which provide food for the needy. It's a great cause, but the acreage was apparently too much for the droves of teenagers that enjoy volunteering sweat and exertion for free.

And if you're young mens or young womens group needs a good service activity, they're apparently always willing to get some young peoples' thumbs green.
