Doodle for Google

Google Doodles are fantastic small logo drawings that give the superbly simple Google homepage variety and fun. Well, now K-12-age kiddos can create their own Google'ish doodles in a Doodle for Google contest. If you win the $15,000, which you very well may, please remember who put you on the scent of this fun art exhibition.
Worms
We just babysat two little girls for some friends while they went to the afternoon dedication for the Oquirrh Mountain Utah temple. We picked some apples off our tree and hoped these little buggers weren't contained within. Then sang a few Wee Sing songs, including I Guess I'll Go Eat Worms. Then I whipped out the 'ol Wacom pad and wow'ed 'em with some paperless painting. Haha.
Dawn of Discovery Intro
This intro movie has a cool blend of 2D and 3D art that makes it very fun. I like the bg music too!
Help me, Ooby doob badooby

Lest anyone think me too cool for my britches for having created such a masterpiece, I'll just say now that Corel Painter Essentials helped me out... It's called photo painting. You can get a photo, put it behind your canvas and essentially trace it. It helps with color too. Where your brush starts, that's the color that that stroke is. In this case, it's actually colored pencil with oil pastel for the background.
And for those of you that don't get the vague reference to a Star Wars parody, check this out.
Give me Indian Red!
This is about the best reason I've seen to get a touch screen computer. :)
