Memories of the 90s
Pogs are just a funny thing that come up in conversations between April and I. It's almost like we have a secret stash of milk-caps stashed away in our closet, just waiting to bring them out, let the slammers fly, and play for keeps.
Whatever happened to pogs? Apparently, they disappear amidst some controversy... It's funny how many of fads there were/are that are in and then out w/in the same year. I mean, totally! Go, 90s! Hehe, this is funny -- from Wikipedia:
"In the UK Pogs were banned for a number of reasons mainly the arguments between children as well as the injuries children sustained. Slammers would be thrown aggressively causing them to travel long distances as well as bouncing off objects or walls, resulting in injury. This became more of an issue when using metal slammers."
If anyone has a few pogs around, especially those awesome ones with the cool saw blade-cut edges, we're ready for the ultimate pog tournament at our house! But remember, we always play for keeps, so no cryin'.
